Jardin de Gnosis + Smolder
My art is an exploration of realities; thought and action are essential parts of it. A practical equation to make sense of the world; perspective, a connection between ancestry and current context.

As a creator I favour the transgressive aspects of art; the ability to exist liminally, outisde social and cultural boundaries, which isolate and alienate. Art is a form of communication that transcends language, culture and time. It is a form of expression that manifests the conscious and the subconscious. It has the capacity to connect the individual to the collective unconscious. It redefines the terms of existence as it is a whole experience. It has a through raw quality before disection, analysis or theorization.

Mediumship and ecology are recurrent themes in my art. Being a person of a multicultural background and an immigrant, I am astrange from mainstream definitions of culture and identity. As part of my family heritage, mediumship is one of the foundations of my identity, and it has served as connection to my culture, it manifests in my work, both in theory and practice. It lures as a subject, and it looms as an instrument for my creative process. Ecology; context is interaction; a live world that exists beyond the seen and the material; a community that transcends space and time.
