Traditional screen printing methods usually require large amounts of water and produce chemical waste.
Realidad.es.plural is a project born from the exploration of sustainable creative processes. The one of a kind wearable pieces are created by cutting, sewing, dyeing, bejewelling and screen printing used materials. The screen printing process used was thoughtfully developed to avoid chemical waste by using a single matrix, for all the pieces. The ink used for printing is plastisol, which while being plastic itself, offers the benefit of needing heat to dry, therefore omitting the need to wash the screens between uses. Different patterns and colours are achieved through layering.
